SkillELECTRIC
SkillELECTRIC has been designed to promote standards and skills across the electrotechnical industries, developing competence into excellence and will test competitors’ performance in tasks drawn from the role of the electrician.
Competitors will undertake a series of practical tests based on real-life work which will demonstrate their abilities and highlight their outstanding skills in their industry.
SkillELECTRIC covers the whole of the UK and organises heats and semi-finals for England and Wales. Skillbuild NI carries out the same for Northern Ireland and SECTT for Scotland.
Subject to the number of entrants, the preliminary stage or heats are followed by a UK Final. The winner of the UK final may also have the chance to compete along with other UK team-mates in the WorldSkills competition and become truly world-class.
What happens if I win?
Winners of the preliminary stage or heats who meet the required standard will be invited to compete in the UK Final. Subject to eligibility, outstanding UK winners may be invited to compete for a place in the UK’s team for the WorldSkills Competition.
