SkillFRIDGE 2008

SkillFRIDGE is the national refrigeration and air conditioning practical skills competition. It is part of a network of national skills competitions licensed by UK Skills. It is designed to promote standards and skills in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry, and help to raise young people’s awareness of the career opportunities within our industry. The competition is organised by SummitSkills and supported by the Institute of Refrigeration, the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Industry Board, UK Skills and with support from the RAC industry.

The competition will identify the UK National Champion Refrigeration Engineer. A small squad of competition finalists may be trained up to the international competition standard through a formal training and development program led by an international expert.  One of these may go on to join the UK team at the World Skills Competition in Canada 2009, where they will compete against other refrigeration engineers from all over the world for Gold, Silver or Bronze medals.
