Triple-header for Midlands heats

Stephenson College in Coalville Leicestershire was the stunning setting for the Midlands heats of SkillELECTRIC, SkillFRIDGE and SkillPLUMB, producing a talented group of finalists who are hoping to go forward to the 2010 UK finals later this year.

In an amazing triple-header, all three competitions ran simultaneously over the exciting two day event, enhanced by the college's superb facilities and hospitality.

Judging was lengthy and critical due to the extremely high quality of the candidates' performances.  After much deliberation the results were announced in a packed evening awards ceremony attended by more than 150 people.

The winners now have a tense wait to see if they qualify for a place at the UK finals to be held at the prestigious M&E show in London this autumn.  Details will be published on the Skill M&E website so don't forget to check back regularly for updates on the rest of the events happening this summer.
